Under the Gaze of Monuments
Exhibitions:2015 Solo exhibition "Under the Gaze of Monuments / Monumentide pilgu all", Vabaduse Gallery, Tallinn, curator Reet Varblane.
The series is a collection of photographs from Venice, Rome, Barcelona, Athens, Berlin, Paris and London, but specific locations are not named or made too easily recognisable. Together, the collection is presented as an empty stage design for imagined history dramas. Local citizens or tourists are not present in these views of historical sites. However, sculptures and monuments are ready to take over the role of actors.
